Coordinate Geometry in 3D modeling is your 2D and 3D shapes. Cubes and spheres are 3D shapes whereas circles and squares are 2D. There are so many other shapes to use in 3D graphics.
2D are flat objects. This means there is no depth in these shapes. they are just flat. 3D objects are objects you can hold in your hand, like a cube. 3D has depth in it so you know how wide and big the shape is.
