Faces in 3D Modeling

In 3D modeling, nearly every shape you can make and every item you make has at least one face on it. Faces are made when the vertexes and the edges link together, leaving a face in the middle of it.

In 3D modeling, you can extrude, scale, and rotate the faces, as well as using many other tools within 3D modeling programs. Doing this to the faces will change the size and shape of the face, depending on which tool you use, to change the what the piece you are working on will look like when you finish it.
The squares in between the vertexes and edges are the faces
